The Domestic Violence Prevention Enhancements and Leadership Through Alliances (DELTA) Impact program provides financial support from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to agencies and local communities to implement strategies and approaches designed to prevent intimate partner violence.
The purpose of DELTA Impact is to aid communities in implementing programs and policies that will focus on decreasing risk factors that may lead to intimate partner violence and increasing protective factors that prevent it.
Delta Impact Theory of Change
This diagram illustrates the Theory of Change for DELTA Impact. CDC partners with State Domestic Violence Coalitions to provide the inputs and resources needed to support community and societal level primary prevention activities. These activities contribute to outcomes that lead to state coalitions’ ability to decrease intimate partner violence.*

Ten states have been awarded the Delta Impact Grant to implement protective and preventative measures against intimate partner violence.
The Alliance for Community Transformations, specifically Mountain Crisis Services, has partnered with The California Partnership to End Domestic Violence, Strategic Prevention Solutions with funding from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention in ongoing efforts to address prevention and protective measure in the fight against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault (DV/SA) in Mariposa County. We are working closely with the schools within our district to implement a program called Shifting Boundaries.
The Shifting Boundaries program targets middle school age children in providing school wide and classroom educational components. The Shifting Boundaries program addresses harassment and bullying type behaviors with youth and promotes healthy peer-to-peer relationships, respectful boundaries, and reduces tolerance for violence among students. Shifting Boundaries promotes positive school climate and merges safety into its curriculum while raising awareness about dating violence, sexual harassment, peer-to-peer harass-ment, and bullying. It incorporates school and community protective factors that empower students to reach out to peers, adults, or other agencies in the community when their boundaries have been crossed and they need help.
