Emergency Shelter

Since 2002 Mountain Crisis has offered Emergency Safe House. The housing shelters victims/survivors of domestic violence and their children. Participants who enter our emergency shelter can receive services such as case-management and developing a service plan concentrating on obtaining goals in self-sufficiency, increasing skills and/or income, and obtaining safe affordable permanent housing.

Participants attend individual counseling coupled with support groups on varying topics such as: life skills, domestic violence education, budgeting, drug and alcohol support, parenting, and co-dependency.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be an emergency situation (such as fleeing from person that caused harm, has no place to go, etc.)
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be a victim/survivor of domestic violence and/or sexual assault
  • Can bring in pet (dog/cat) if fleeing with animal
